Not yet a formally registered DMCA agent. This page describes our actual takedown process, which we already honor. Formal registration of a designated agent with the U.S. Copyright Office is still pending — do this before relying on this page for DMCA safe-harbor protection, and have the final text reviewed by a lawyer.

How MentorMia works with content

MentorMia is an index, not a host. We store a title, a short description, a thumbnail, and a link for content that mentors have already published on other platforms — we never store or serve the video or audio itself. Everything plays through the original platform's official embedded player (for example, the YouTube embed) or links out to where it was published.

Mentor opt-out — no notice required

If you're a mentor and don't want your content indexed, you don't need to file a copyright claim at all. Email us at mentors@mentormia.com [replace with real contact] and we'll remove everything of yours, no questions asked, generally within 48 hours.

Filing a copyright takedown notice

If you believe content indexed on MentorMia infringes your copyright, send a notice to dmca@mentormia.com [replace with real contact] including:

Your physical or electronic signature
Identification of the copyrighted work you claim is infringed
The specific MentorMia URL(s) where the material appears (not the original source — remember, we only link to and embed that; the underlying work usually still lives on the source platform)
Your contact information — address, phone number, email
A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf

We remove or disable access to the identified material promptly upon receiving a valid notice. Because we don't host anything, removal typically just means deleting the index entry — the link and thumbnail — so it stops appearing in the feed.

Counter-notice

If content of yours was removed and you believe that was a mistake, you may send a counter-notice to the same address with your contact information, identification of the removed material and where it appeared, and a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.

Repeat infringement

Sources that repeatedly result in valid takedown notices will be removed from the index entirely.

Deletion propagation

Separately from copyright takedowns: if a video or post is deleted or made private at its source, we detect this on our regular refresh cycle and stop showing it — no notice needed from anyone.
