Privacy Policy

Last updated: [date]

This describes what MentorMia actually collects and does today, not generic boilerplate. It still needs a legal review and the bracketed placeholders filled in with real business details before it's final.

1. What we collect

If you never sign in, we don't collect anything that identifies you.

If you sign in with Google or Meta, we receive:

We never receive or ask for your password — sign-in is handled entirely by Google or Meta.

If you follow a mentor while signed in, we store that you follow them. That's the only activity we currently record.

2. Cookies

We set one cookie, mm_sess, when you sign in. It's a session token that keeps you signed in for up to 30 days — nothing more. It is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking, and we don't use any third-party analytics or ad-tracking cookies.

3. How we use what we collect

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers. We are not in the business of monetizing visitor data — see our business model if you're curious how we actually plan to make money (short version: mentors pay us, not the other way around).

4. Third parties involved

5. How long we keep it, and how to delete it

We keep account data for as long as you have an account with us. To request deletion of your account and everything tied to it — email, name, follows — contact privacy@mentormia.com [replace with real contact] and we'll delete it, generally within a few days. There's no self-serve delete button yet; this is a request-based process for now.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Reach out at the contact above for any of these — we'll honor a legitimate request regardless of which specific law it falls under (GDPR, CCPA, or otherwise).

7. Children

MentorMia is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region). If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we'll remove it.

8. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a material way, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
